NEW SINGLE FROM MICELF: Folds
with CIARA RUDAS
"FOLDS" is an instant hit: this indie-pop banger is loaded with punchy vocals, a classic indie outro, and a catchy mantra, "I don't write for you," repeated in an effort to distance the creation from its source. The lyrics, ""the folds in the clouds could've been your mouth," came to me while observing a cumulus cloud in the shape of my childhood friend's mouth - it formed at golden hour during a car ride home from one of my first visits to LA," says Ciara Sophia Rudas of micelf. She continues, ""Folds" is a lyrical reflection on my teen-hood and those formative years and friendships coming to a close."
Inspiration behind the "Folds" music video was rooted in recreating a vampire-themed baseball game organized by Rudas and friends last spring. The theme pays homage to one of Rudas's favorite films, Twilight, and nods to the touch of whimsy she embeds in every visual for micelf. "That initial baseball game was pure fun and silliness so I knew we had to bust out the VHS and gather everyone again to make the music video for the shiniest track of the record! Some of us have scars from our dedication to the game!" exclaims Rudas.
The music video was shot and edited by close friend and LA-based cinematographer Torrie Krantz. “Folds” is Krantz’s music video debut. “This was a really fun project, I’m so glad it was my first,” shared Krantz, “Ciara is not only a good friend of mine but such a fun artist to collaborate with. We are constantly bantering back and forth and having a laugh.”
"Folds" is now on all major streaming platforms. Stay tuned for the release of the second single, “Callus,” on July 14th. Micelf’s debut EP, Everything Nothing, releases on all major streaming platforms this September.

NEW SINGLE FROM FOXTRAILS: Sundrip
Those Topanga boys are at it again with “Sundrip”; another single off the album KAWEAH. It’s their trademark ethereal sound that once again lifts you just a few inches off your feet and leaves you floating through your most natural environment, no matter where you happen to find yourself when they stride through your ears in a much-honed spiritual dance into the serene metaphysical. If you know, you know.
