PORTRAIT MODE

words and photos
RILEY SANCHEZ
from GJUSTA

I HAVE come to the conclusion that a photograph makes our moments more alive, makes them continue on in a sense. The capture of what lies before your eyes saved by the quick shutter release button on a camera. I’ve recently took time to look through old boxes that collect dust in the corner of my closet of numerous matured photo prints. Thanks to those photos, I’m able to hold that memory of a former moment in my hand, and have that instant brought back to me even for just a second.

It’s not just taking photos for me, it’s that I’m able to express my own individual creativity or style through the lens. It’s telling a story, or creating one.
